Police Blotter: Feb. 28 - March 1

The following is a condensed list of reports made to Taos Central Dispatch within the Town of Taos from Feb. 28–March 1, 2025.

Feb. 28

9:30 a.m. Criminal Damage, Este Es Rd. — Caller said a male individual destroyed one of the shelves in her shop. The individual left on foot.

3:33 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance, Paseo del Pueblo Sur — Caller advised that a vehicle had been parked in one of the curbside pickup spots for a few hours and people kept going in and out possibly doing drugs. One person was detained.

4:06 p.m. Welfare Check, Paseo del Pueblo Sur — Caller stated there a vehicle with a dog in it had been in the parking lot for several hours. The vehicle was found with the windows open and water for the dogs.

9:44 p.m. Trespassing, Paseo del Pueblo Sur — Caller reported two individuals were trespassing on the property and left drug paraphernalia and toilet paper.

March 1

10:30 p.m. Shoplifting, Walmart — Caller reported that two people were trying to leave with two full baskets of items. The people were trespassed.

10:53 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance, Walmart — Caller reported a man was checking doors and looking into the windows of vehicles. He then got into a Dodge with a lot of trash in the bed and left.

March 2

8:12 a.m. Suspicious Circumstance, Frontier Lane — Caller stated there were individuals who looked like they were setting up camp and wanted someone to check it out.

6:10 p.m. Trespassing, Smith's — A man was arguing with staff and trying to fight one of the managers. He got his items and left.

8:30 p.m. Shots fired, Paseo del Pueblo Norte — Shots were reported by the Centinel Bank and a car pulled out. Units patrolled but heard no shots and saw no vehicle.
